Hareid Library

Hareid Public Library is centrally located on the ground floor of Hareid town hall, right in the center of Hareid and next door to the Youth Café. We have the main entrance on the short side of the town hall, towards the high speed ferry quay. Here are good parking opportunities, disabled parking and good access for wheelchair users. Every day (except Sunday) we open the doors at 11. Kindergartens, schools and students can come to the library before regular opening hours by appointment.

The library is part of a larger library network that makes it possible for you to borrow from other public libraries, county libraries and professional and research libraries all over the country. Furthermore, Hareid Public Library has an inter-municipal library collaboration with public libraries in Ulstein, Herøy and Sande municipalities. This close collaboration means that you as a borrower have a library of over 60,000 media to search in when you search for material in our library catalog. Two days a week, Norsk Bibliotektransport's courier comes to Hareid Public Library with books and other media that people at Hareid have ordered from other libraries near and far.
