Large game: Regulated deer hunting. Some properties have rentals. Contact the wildlife committee for contact to the relevant authorities in good time before the hunt starts.

Small game: Kingfisher, lynx and mountain grouse are together with hare the most important small game in the municipality.

There is also a small population of greylag goose, duck and cormorant in the municipality. The hunting season for hares / chickens is limited to the period 1 October-23 December. The hunt is organized in own outfield teams that cooperate internally. The team manages most of the municipality's hunting terrain and has a common hunting license for both Hareid and Ulstein. Deer hunting: The hunting season for deer is 1 September – 23. December.
